All are welcome.

Rev. Dr. Kenneth Kaibel became Belleville Presbyterian Church’s pastor in January of 2019.

Ken was raised with two brothers near Lebanon, Ohio. The small, rural Presbyterian Church he attended with his family played a major role in making him who he is today. Weekly worship, Sunday School, and fellowship taught him to pray and to care for others. Early in life, he sensed that he was called to be a minister.

Ken earned a BS degree in Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio; a Master of Divinity Degree at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio; and a Doctor of Ministry from Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, South Carolina.

Ordained a Minister of Word and Sacrament in 1981, Ken has served churches in Illinois, Ohio, and Michigan. Ken also served as chaplain in the US Army Reserves for 22 years in Ohio and Michigan. He was mobilized for Operation Enduring Freedom for one year, then to Fort Lewis for a year, and then to Walter Reed Army Medical Center for four years.

Ken now lives in Southfield with his wife, Deanna. They have one daughter, Holly, also an ordained minister, who resides in Portland, Oregon.

Ken enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time in the woods.
